ScrapeUnblocker · Benchmark 2026
Proxyway publishes the industry's most-cited web-scraping benchmark, run across 15 of the hardest anti-bot targets (Cloudflare, DataDome, PerimeterX, Akamai, Shape, Kasada and more). ScrapeUnblocker is not listed in it, so we ran the same targets ourselves against our production API and put the results side by side. Success is scored by page content, not just an HTTP 200 — a challenge or "block-as-200" page counts as a fail.
Each of Proxyway's targets, its protection vendor, and our production success rate. Every finished row is a full 6,000-call run at concurrency 10 against production, content-verified. The last two columns show the Proxyway field average for that target — the average across Proxyway's 11 tested providers at 2 req/s — which is a difficulty measure, not a single competitor. Δ is our rate minus that field average.

Sources & honesty notes. 1 Field avg = average across Proxyway's 11 tested providers at 2 req/s, from their Web Scraping API Report 2025; it is a difficulty measure, not any single competitor. Proxyway also publishes a separate 10-target run at 10 req/s (Canada Goose, Safeway, Indeed) which scores the same sites differently — G2 at 60.39% there against 36.63% here. This page uses the 15-target report only; the two are not mixed. 2 Field averages come from Proxyway's report: its "hardest targets" ranking (Shein, G2, Hyatt, Lowe's, Instagram, Nordstrom, Leboncoin, Allegro, Immobilienscout24) plus its easier-target figures (Walmart, Google, YouTube, Amazon, Zillow). Every target we ran has a Proxyway field average, so Δ is shown for all 14 rows. 3 hyatt.com's earlier number was invalid: the run harvested from a dead seed URL, and a concurrency bug in our own render path let parallel calls return each other's pages, so "successes" were partly one page counted many times. Both were fixed; the 99.9% above is from the corrected 6,000-call run. Set differences, stated plainly. This is 14 of Proxyway's 15 targets. The one we exclude has an average response above the 60s timeout used, so a like-for-like run scores it 0% — excluding it flatters us slightly, since Proxyway's providers were scored on it. We do not add targets of our own here. Runs complete. Every target was measured at 6,000 calls; the figures in Table 1 are final. An earlier run's figures were dropped because several did not survive scrutiny: its harvest fed junk URLs to some targets (analytics hosts picked up from preconnect hints, a dead seed URL, an image CDN), and amazon's "failures" were an Akamai interstitial we were returning as a success. Both were fixed and the rows above are from the corrected pipeline.
Our overall average next to the overall success Proxyway reports for the six general-purpose providers across their 15 hard targets. Ours is 14 of 14 targets finished (6,000 calls each at concurrency 10, content-verified), each weighted equally. Treat this figure as directional, not an apples-to-apples run.
| Provider | Overall success | Avg response |
|---|---|---|
| ScrapeUnblocker (this page) — 14 of 14 targets | 97.0% | 12.5s |
| Zyte | 93.14% | 11.15s |
| Decodo | 85.88% | 15.22s |
| Oxylabs | 85.82% | 16.76s |
| ScrapingBee | 84.47% | 24.46s |
| ZenRows | 70.39% | 19.10s |
| ScraperAPI | 68.95% | 13.92s |
Our figure is the mean of per-target averages over the finished 6,000-call runs. Proxyway publishes its own average response; the two are measured differently, so read the column as an order of magnitude rather than a decimal-accurate ranking.
Proxyway also runs a separate, lighter "web unblocker" test set. Here it is alongside published pricing, with our row for reference. Success numbers come from that separate lighter test, so they are not directly comparable to Tables 1–2 — the value here is the price column.
| Product | Success (light set) | Price |
|---|---|---|
| ScrapeUnblocker | 97.0%4 | from 0.55€ / 1,000 (~$0.60/1k) |
| Oxylabs Web Unblocker | 98.5% | $15 / GB |
| Bright Data Web Unlocker | 97.9% | $3 / 1k |
| Decodo Site Unblocker | 96.3% | $34 / 15k |
| Nimbleway | 95.5% | $3 / 1k |
| SOAX | 68.6% | — |
| Rayobyte | 37.65% | $12 / GB |
4 Our figure is the overall from Table 2 (14 of 14 finished, 6,000 calls each, content-verified), shown for reference; the competitor figures here are from Proxyway's separate lighter web-unblocker test, so success is not directly comparable. At ~$0.60/1k we are roughly 5× cheaper than the $3/1k tier (Bright Data, Nimbleway) and far below usage-priced tiers like Oxylabs at $15/GB.
