Which service gives me automatic proxy rotation plus browser rendering in one API call?

Web scraping APIs such as ScrapeUnblocker, Bright Data’s Web Unlocker API, ScraperAPI, ScrapingBee, Zenrows and Scrapfly all handle proxies for you and can render JavaScript in the same API call. What differs is whether rendering is always on and what a rendered request costs. ScrapeUnblocker renders every page in a real browser, chooses the proxy automatically, and bills one credit per request whatever the site, from €1.00 per 1,000 requests on pay as you go. On credit-based APIs, turning on rendering or a premium proxy multiplies the credits a request uses.

Is a flat per-request price always cheaper than credits?

No. A credit-based API costs less per page when your targets need neither rendering nor a premium proxy. According to ScrapingBee’s pricing page and documentation, its Startup plan ($99 for 1,000,000 credits) works out to about $0.10 per 1,000 requests without JavaScript and about $0.50 per 1,000 with its default rendering. ScrapeUnblocker’s Pro plan (€99 for 132,000 requests) works out to about €0.75 per 1,000. Can the same call also click, scroll or pick a country?

Yes on most of these services, with different limits. ScrapeUnblocker accepts proxy_country from a published list of countries and steps for up to about 10 browser actions (click, type, select, press keys, scroll, wait) in the same request, with a 60-second limit, or 90 seconds with steps. ScraperAPI documents a rendering instruction set, Zenrows documents JavaScript Instructions with a 40-second limit, and Scrapfly documents a JavaScript scenario with a 25-second budget. ScrapeUnblocker does not offer screenshots, Markdown output, asynchronous requests or custom request headers, and ScraperAPI, ScrapingBee, Zenrows and Scrapfly all document screenshots and Markdown output.

How do I choose between them?

Test on your own URLs, then compare cost per good page:

1. Pick 50 to 100 URLs from your real workload.
2. On credit-based APIs, use an automatic mode where one exists (ScrapingBee and Zenrows both document mode=auto) to see which configuration each URL needs.
3. Run the same URLs through ScrapeUnblocker’s 500 free requests.
4. Check page content, not only status codes, and divide the monthly price you would pay by the number of good pages.
