Google AI Mode Scraper
google.com
Google AI Mode writes its answer into the page while you watch, hides every source behind a redirect and mixes the answer with share buttons, feedback forms and sponsored units, so scraping it yourself means a real browser, waiting for the stream to finish and untangling Google's markup. A dedicated plugin endpoint takes a question and returns the finished answer already parsed: plain text, Markdown and typed blocks (paragraphs, headings, ordered and nested lists, tables with their header row, code), the pages Google cites with their real URLs, titles, sites and snippets, the links written into the answer, and the follow-up questions Google closes with. Ask from a country with proxy_country and in a language with hl; no Google account or API key is involved.
What you can extract
- The full answer as plain text and as Markdown (bold, headings, nested lists, tables)
- Structured blocks in order: paragraphs, headings with level, ordered and nested lists, tables with header and rows, code
- Every cited source: title, real page URL (not a Google redirect), site name, domain and snippet
- Links written into the answer, with their real URLs
- The follow-up questions Google closes the answer with
- Country (proxy_country, market follows it) and answer language (hl)
Dedicated endpoints
/search/google-ai-mode Google AI Mode answer
The AI Mode answer to a question (q): answer.text, answer.markdown and answer.blocks (paragraph, heading with level, list with ordered and items, table with header and rows, code), references (position, title, url, domain, source, snippet), links (text, url) and followUps, plus query, hl, gl, proxyCountry and url. proxy_country picks the country the question comes from (gl follows it), hl the answer language. An answer that did not finish streaming answers 502 and is not billed.
How to scrape it
curl -X POST \
-H "X-ScrapeUnblocker-Key: $SU_API_KEY" \
"https://api.scrapeunblocker.com/search/google-ai-mode?q=what%20are%20the%20pros%20and%20cons%20of%20electric%20cars&proxy_country=US"import requests
resp = requests.post(
"https://api.scrapeunblocker.com/search/google-ai-mode",
headers={"X-ScrapeUnblocker-Key": SU_API_KEY},
params={"q": "what are the pros and cons of electric cars", "proxy_country": "US"},
)
print(resp.text)import { ScrapeUnblockerClient } from 'scrapeunblocker';
const su = new ScrapeUnblockerClient({ apiKey: process.env.SU_API_KEY });
const answer = await su.googleAiMode('what are the pros and cons of electric cars', {
proxyCountry: 'US',
});
console.log(answer); Requests are POST and take their parameters in the query string. Browser rendering always happens - there is no flag to enable.

} Frequently asked questions
Is it legal to scrape Google AI Mode?
Collecting publicly available AI Mode answers and the sources they cite is lawful in many jurisdictions, but the rules depend on your country, the data you collect and how you use it. ScrapeUnblocker returns the public answer; what you collect and how you use it is your responsibility.
Is AI Mode the same as the AI Overview?
No. The AI Overview is the short AI summary above normal results, which /serpApi returns as aiOverview. AI Mode is the separate conversational tab (udm=50) with a longer answer, tables and more sources; this plugin returns that answer.
How do I scrape Google AI Mode without getting blocked?
ScrapeUnblocker renders the question in a real browser on dedicated Google infrastructure, rotates clean exits, solves challenges and waits until Google has finished writing the answer, then returns it parsed. In our benchmark of 1,057 different questions it returned a complete answer on 100% of calls, in about 7.4s.
Do I get the real URLs of the cited sources?
Yes. Google links every source through a redirect; the plugin returns the real page URL with the title, site name, domain and snippet of each cited page.
Can I ask in another language or from another country?
Yes. Set proxy_country to ask from that country (the Google market follows it) and hl for the language of the answer, for example hl=de with proxy_country=DE.
How much does it cost to scrape Google AI Mode?
Each answered question is one request: EUR 1.00 per 1,000 on pay as you go, down to about EUR 0.55 per 1,000 at volume. Blocks, timeouts and unfinished answers are not billed.
