How do I scrape property listings and prices from Zillow without getting blocked?

A plain request does not get that far: on 9 October 2026, a single curl request to a Zillow search page returned HTTP 403 “Access to this page has been denied” with an x-px-blocked: 1 header. What does a working Zillow request look like?

According to ScrapeUnblocker’s documentation, you can filter with status (for_sale, for_rent or sold), min_price, max_price, beds, baths and home_type, sort with sort, and collect up to 820 listings per call at about 41 per page. For one home in full, send its zpid to /realestate/zillow-detail for the description, price history, MLS id, broker, facts and photos, plus tax history and schools when the page carries them.

Can you get sold prices from Zillow?

Yes, where the sold listing carries a price: set status=sold and each sold home returns the price shown. In a ScrapeUnblocker test on 9 October 2026, a sold search for Denver, CO returned a price on all 41 homes, while a sold search for Austin, TX returned no sale price for any of its 41 homes. Sale prices are not available for every market, so check coverage for yours before you plan around them.
