Wellfound, the startup job board formerly known as AngelList Talent, is served through two dedicated plugin endpoints rather than the generic page fetch. The jobs endpoint takes a role, a location or both, or a remote role - as text such as software engineer and new york, as Wellfound slugs, or as a Wellfound search URL - and returns the listing already parsed: each job's title, link, full description, compensation with the salary range and currency and the equity range in percent, job type, locations, remote flag and remote policy, the regions a remote job accepts, years of experience, posting date and the hiring company with its tagline, size, stage and badges, plus the total jobs, companies and pages. A listing page holds 20 companies with up to 3 matching jobs each; a call returns one page by default, and with max_results it pages through up to 500 jobs. With mode=job and a job URL it returns one job in full: the description as text and HTML, the salary with its period, skills, visa sponsorship, relocation, remote policy, the countries a remote role hires in, preferred timezones, the hiring contact and the company's funding and founders. The companies endpoint returns a startup's profile - description, website and social links, size, stage, markets, locations, total raised and funding rounds with valuations, founders with their bios, perks, open jobs by role, its first 10 open jobs and similar companies - or, with mode=search, Wellfound's startup directory by location or industry. No Wellfound account or login is involved.

Is it legal to scrape Wellfound?
Collecting publicly visible Wellfound job listings and company profiles is lawful in many jurisdictions, but the rules depend on your country, the data you collect and how you use it. How do I scrape Wellfound without getting blocked?
Wellfound runs behind Cloudflare. The plugin asks for listing and job pages on ScrapeUnblocker's browser-free legs first, and only when those miss does it let the chain render the page in a real browser. Company profiles sit behind a Cloudflare challenge, so their fetch goes through the full chain from the start, and a cold solve can take up to about a minute. In ScrapeUnblocker's benchmark it returned data on 99.5% of 1,100 calls, each a different input (450 job searches by role, location or remote including pages 2 and 3, 250 job pages, 200 company profiles and 200 directory searches), about 1.7s per call.
Can I search Wellfound jobs by keyword?
Not by free text. Wellfound publishes its jobs as role and location listing pages, and the plugin reads those: pass role (such as software engineer, product manager or data scientist), location (such as new york, london or berlin), both, or remote=true with a role. Text is turned into Wellfound's slug, or pass a Wellfound search URL such as https://wellfound.com/role/l/software-engineer/san-francisco directly. A role or location Wellfound has no listing for answers 404.
How many Wellfound jobs can I get per call?
A listing page shows 20 companies with up to 3 matching jobs each, so one page is usually 30 to 60 jobs. A company with more matching jobs shows only 3 of them in the listing; its profile lists its first 10 open jobs, with jobsTotal for the full count. A call returns one page by default; set max_results up to 500 and it pages through, or start at page and continue with nextPage. totalJobs, totalCompanies and pageCount give the size of the whole listing.
How do I get a Wellfound company profile or browse startups?
Call /companies/wellfound with company as a slug such as stripe or a wellfound.com/company URL to get the profile with its funding rounds, founders, perks, open jobs and similar companies. With mode=search it lists Wellfound's startup directory by location (such as new york or london) or industry, 10 companies per page up to max_results (1-100). industry takes Wellfound's own slug, such as saas, fintech-2 or artificial-intelligence, and common names such as fintech, healthcare, crypto or edtech are mapped to their slug.
How much does it cost to scrape Wellfound?
Each page fetched is billed as one request: a listing page, a job page, a company profile or a directory page is one, so a default job search is 1 request, max_results=200 is about 4 to 7, and pagesFetched shows the exact number. 1 request = 1 credit, EUR 1.00 per 1,000 on pay as you go, down to about EUR 0.55 per 1,000 on the Ultimate plan.
